Selected Job could not be opened due to some error

If you are starting Cubit Estimating the first time on your computer and getting the below message when trying to open any Job.

The error in your Cubit Estimating log may look something like below.

 Message: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Attempted to perform an unauthorized operation.

  at System.Security.AccessControl.Win32.SetSecurityInfo(ResourceType type, String name, SafeHandle handle, SecurityInfos securityInformation, SecurityIdentifier owner, SecurityIdentifier group, GenericAcl sacl, GenericAcl dacl)

  at System.Security.AccessControl.NativeObjectSecurity.Persist(String name, SafeHandle handle, AccessControlSections includeSections, Object exceptionContext)

  at System.Security.AccessControl.NativeObjectSecurity.Persist(String name, AccessControlSections includeSections, Object exceptionContext)

Resolution:

A common reason for this to occur is that the user account does not have read and write permissions certain Cubit Estimating folder. To fix this, you need to grant full control permission for the user on the below folder and restart Cubit Estimating. 

C:\ProgramData\Buildsoft\Cubit\Dictionaries
