Insert a line in the Calculation sheet to add notes

It would be nice to be able to insert a line in the Calculation sheet to annotate the dimensions that have been measured

  • Hi James,

Is this in 'BT2' ? If I understood the question correctly, I thought this is already in 'Global Estimating' ?

  • Hi Jay. I'm talking about BT2/Cubit, which doesn't currently have this facility.

  • Hi Jay,

This is referring specifically to BT2/Cubit rather than Global or Offsider estimating. While you can add new lines in the calculation sheet it is not as good as we would like it to be and we will be improving this functionality in the future.

  • I think it is very important to be able to add a line to the calc sheets - so that a dim can be entered if missed - can you tell mw when this facility will be introduced ??

  • There is the long-way to get around, till fixed......

    1. Insert a line below the line your working on

    2. in inserted line:

in the result column, copy above (F4) the result type. (this will ensure screen measured plans are not lost)

in the calc column, copy above (F4) calc sheet

    3. Back to original line calc sheet:

delete all lines below where you want to insert a new item

    enter new information as required

    4. Back in inserted line calc sheet

tag all lines that where deleted from the original line calc sheet, that need to be copied back

Using click and hold, drag and drop highlighted lines back into original line calc sheet

Check all lines required are within original line calc

    Delete copied line

  • Hi Everyone,

Just an update to this ongoing request.

This improvement has been made for Cubit V7 due out later this year. Thank you for your continued patience on one of our most requested features.
