Basic formula in BT2 missing
Having the ability to TSUM (as Global Estimating) the items in the rate column would be great, and not demand recalculating and entering the total of the above items one each occasion a change its made.
And I miss many of the other formula functions from GE, such as rounding, etc.

Hi Mike,
This is currently planned for a future release where we will be implementing a number of improvements on what BT2 currently offers.
Any more word on this for cubit?
Sorry Nathan while we will be adding this or similar functionality into Cubit there is no release date set yet.
Is there any update on when the next version of Cubit will be released with formulas implemented?
Will the next update also include live updating of an estimate if a change to the price list is made?
Hi Jeff,
Thank you for your enquiry, at this stage there is no official date for a major release to cubit.
The above requirements you have requested for have been raised as a future enhancement "request" which may be considered in the future.
The lack of ability to add formulae into an estimate is spectacularly counterproductive.
It is possible to produce estimating software that allows this - your competitors do.
It's not enough to have a single line 'adjustment', estimators often require a number of separable allowances which all need to be separately shown and are all based on a percentage of a range of other items contained in the estimate - not always items above, sometimes items below. When will you give estimators the ability to alter an estimate without the need to manually calculate half a dozen consequential percentage-based items?
Moreover, when will software producers finally understand that the single most important variable in estimating is labour. Where is our ability to express labour in hours, as was previously available on Global Estimating?
Hi Elwin,
We understand your concerns regarding the formulas in Cubit. You are not alone in your wish for more advanced formulas in Cubit and this is something that may be in a future version of the software.
In regards to the labour component, this is actually going to be available in an upcoming update to the Cubit software.
Hi Elwin,
Following up on your previous request, Cubit has always allowed you to enter in hours for labour items. Any item can use whatever unit you would like. In Version 6 a new estimate configuration was released that seperates out material and labour information. Please see below video that briefly goes over it:

We also had a training webinar that ran through labour mode, the link below allows you to view the recording. If you skip to the end it is the last feature covered:

Hope this helps.
Hi Jeff,
Version 6 of Cubit which was released earlier this year provides very powerful functionality for keeping prices synced. There's a short video of the Job Update feature which also works with Price Lists in the following blog post http://www.buildsoft.com.au/blog/cubit-6.1-a-renewed-focus-on-quality
We also did a training webinar on Job Update as per below:

Hi All,
I recently had to convert a 'Cubic job' into the Buildsoft Global program so that I could use the subbies comparison module whilst Bartender if fully up and running.. Getting the BOQ info across is quite easy with the tools that are provided in both Buildsoft Global and Cubit, however, the coding that I had done didn't come across and I was faced with the task of having to re-code the whole job in Buildsoft Global again.
After consulting with Buildsoft, especially my old friend and wizard 'Wing' the procedure turns out to be quite easy. Remember the following demonstration below is purely for getting R or in this demo R2 codes across to Buildsoft Global.
