Quantity total in heading

Is it possible to get a function to show the total quantity of a like result in the heading? i.e. "Carpet Floor coverings" is the heading. "Carpet CP1" is the trade item with area measured, then Carpet CP2, CP3 etc. All items are measured in area individually, but total carpet area is not known. Can the total cost header also show the quantity? I realise you can group code the estimate to separate into materials etc, but a quick quantity in the header could be useful. (without rating each item by $1 showing the total m2 as a value)
