Overview

This guide explains how to access and interact with tender invitations sent to you by contractors through Cubit Select, including how to view tender information, accept or decline the tender, and what happens after you make your selection.

What Tender Information Is Available

When a contractor invites you to submit a quote, you will receive an email containing all the key details about the tender. Here’s what you’ll find in the email:

      • Project Name: The title of the project you’re invited to quote on.
      • Trade: The relevant trade category for the tender.
      • Project Description: A brief overview of the project or trade requirements.
      • Quote Due Date: The deadline for submitting your quote.
      • Contact Details: The contact details of the contractor managing the tender.
      • Tender Documents: A link to view or download important documents like plans and specifications.
      • Quick Response Options: Buttons to “Accept” or “Decline” the tender invitation.

*Note: To access detailed trade items requested by the contractor, you’ll need to create an account and log in.

Steps to View and Respond to a Tender

1. Check Your Invitation Email

      • Look for the Invitation Email and briefly review the tender information provided.
      • Click the View Documents button to open the Tender Information page where you can view and download the tender documents for a closer look at the project requirements.
      • Any updates to the tender, including changes to documents, will be reflected on the Tender Information page.

2. Accept or Decline the Tender

      • Respond to the invitation using the Accept or Decline buttons in the email. After clicking, you will be taken to the Tender Information page to confirm your response.
            • If you Accept, you’ll be marked as participating, and your status will be updated on the contractor’s side.
            • If you Decline, the contractor will know you’re not submitting a quote.
      • Note: You can change the accept or decline response at any point before you submit a quote.

3. Proceed Based on Your Selection

      • If you accept the tender - you can register for a free Cubit Select account (if you haven’t already) to access Trade Items and submit your quote directly.
      • If you decline - no further action is required.
