Overview
This guide walks you through the quote submission process, from logging in and accepting tenders to entering detailed pricing breakdowns and managing supporting documents. It ensures you can easily prepare, submit, and resubmit quotes directly within the platform.
Steps to Submit a Quote
1. Log In to Cubit Select

- Visit the Cubit Select Login Page and enter your credentials.

2. Accept the Tender

- Find the tender you want to respond to or quote on your dashboard.
- Click the Accept button to accept the tender invitation.

3. View Trade Items
-

-
- Click the Quote button on the tender to access the Quote Submission page and view detailed Trade Items.

The contractor may not always provide item details. You can still proceed by submitting a lump sum quote. If item details are added later, you'll receive an email notification, and the items will appear in the trade item grid.

4. Fill Out the Quote Form

- Enter the quote details, including:

- Additional notes (if any).

- Changes are saved automatically, you can come back to finish them later

5. Submit Your Quote

- Click the “Submit Quote” button to finalise your submission.
- You and the contractor will receive an email notification and a PDF version of the quote for future reference.

6. Editing or Resubmitting a Quote

- You can submit, edit, and resubmit your quote anytime before the tender closes.
- Once the contractor closes the tender, the Quote Submission page will become read-only.

Tips for Working with Trade Items
Entering a Pricing Breakdown
You can enter your quote pricing in three ways:
1. Individual Items:

- Enter a rate or total for each line item in the Rate or Total columns.
- Use shortcuts to include or exclude an item:

- Press "I" to include (displays as "INCL").
- Press "E" to exclude (displays as "EXCL").

2. Groups of Items:

- To quote for a group of items, enter the total amount in the Total column of the group’s header line (bold with an arrow).

3. Quote Total:

- Enter the grand total for the entire quote in the Total line at the bottom (bold).

Note:

- If you manually enter a total price for a group or the entire quote, it will be marked with a pin icon
.
- All items in that group will automatically be marked as "INCL", but you can manually change specific items to "EXCL" if needed.

Handling Trade Item Updates
Contractors may update previously shared Trade Items, such as changes to the Description, Quantity, or Unit. Cubit Select ensures you are notified and helps you track these updates seamlessly.
Acknowledging Updates

- Updated items will be marked with an Update icon
in the Trade Items view.
- Click the icon to confirm you’ve reviewed the changes. Once acknowledged, the mark will be cleared from your view.

Email Notifications

- You’ll receive an email notification whenever a contractor updates the Trade Items, keeping you informed of any changes immediately.

Tips for Managing Quote Documents
Uploading Documents

- Access the Documents tab located next to the Notes tab on the right side of the Quote Submission page.
- Upload your documents for submission. You can download, preview, or remove any document before submitting your quote.
- Newly uploaded documents will be marked with a Pending Submission icon next to their name.
- Hover over a document to view details such as Full Name, Uploaded By, and Upload Date.

Submitting Documents

- When you submit your quote, all documents listed in the Documents tab will be included in the submission.
- After submission, the Pending Submission icon changes to a Submitted icon, indicating the document has been successfully submitted.
- Hovering over the submitted icon will reveal details such as the Full Name, Submitted By, and Submission Date.

Documents Resubmission

- You can add additional documents and resubmit your quote if required.
- If you remove a previously submitted document, it will be Archived automatically.
- If you upload and submit a new document with the same name as a previously submitted document, it will be saved as a New Version.

Viewing Submitted and Archived Documents

- All versions of the document can be viewed in the View Submitted Documents dialog.
- Click the View Submitted Documents link next to the Add Documents button to access all submitted and archived documents.
- Contractors have full access to all submitted and archived documents, including previous versions and multiple versions of the same document.
