This feature is only enabled for the Cubit Estimating Enterprise Network Edition
Shared Access in Cubit Estimating allows multiple users to open the same Job at the same time and work on different Trade Headings without interfering with each other. This improves team collaboration and reduces downtime when multiple estimators need to contribute to the same project.
Enabling Shared Access
In Shared Access, multiple users can work in the Job at once, provided they are editing different Trade Headings.
To change a Job to Shared Access mode:
Open the Job in Cubit Estimating.
-
Change the Job Access setting from Exclusive to Shared Access from the Home tab of Cubit.
Once enabled, other users can open the same Job.
Important Considerations
-
Jobs must have the correct structure, with all Items grouped under a Trade Heading.
If Items are not inside Trade Headings, the Job will remain locked and prevent multiple users from working simultaneously.
Each user must be working in separate Trade Headings to avoid conflicts.
-
You can update your Cubit Settings so Jobs automatically open in Shared Access mode.
Within the General tab of Cubit Settings, find the option "Default open job" and change the selection to "Shared".
Any new Jobs created from that point will open in shared mode.

Comments
Regarding the Pause Referencing Sync, when you exit the estimate then re open it, you have to manually set the 'pause sync' option to pause. If you are working on an estimate that requires Pause Sync as default, can we get a 'setting' option to set pause sync on / off for that estimate - instead of having to turn it off, every single time, you reenter the estimate.
