Details

If you are currently editing each report manually to change logos, there is a more efficient way to manage multiple company logos by creating custom report headers in Cubit Estimating.

Using the Report Designer, you can create and save different header templates, each featuring a unique logo to suit various companies or branding requirements.

  • Select the Header to Modify.

    • In the Report Headers window, choose the report header you want to edit.

    • Click Customise.

  • Open the Report Designer.

    • The Report Designer will open with your selected report header.

  • Adjust the Area & Add your Logo.

    • Click the top section of the report. Adjust this section to make room for your logo.

    • Insert your logo, ensuring there is no overlap between other features.

  • Resize the Node

    • Hover your mouse over a node until a double-headed arrow appears, then click and drag to resize as needed.

    • You cannot have overlapping boxes in a report. If a section overlaps, it will highlight in red. Adjust all sections until no red areas remain.

  • Save Your Custom Header.

    • Click the arrow under the Save button in the ribbon and choose Save As.

    • Enter a new name for the header, e.g. “Company A Header”.

    • Click Save.

  • Close the Report Designer.

    • Click the X on the top right-hand side of the Report Designer to close it.

  • Apply the New Header.

    • Back in the Report Headers window, your new custom header should now appear.

    • To make this new header the default for all reports, click the drop-down arrow beside Default header and select the header name you created.

  • Tip:
If you only want to apply the new header to specific reports, you can select the header per report by using the Header column in the Reports window.

Example Use Cases

  • Different company branding for separate business entities.

  • Custom report layouts for client-specific presentations.

  • Distinct headers for internal vs. client-facing reports.
