Unlocking Jobs and Price Lists from the Cubit Management Console

Job and Price List is usually locked when any user has them opened on their device. The locks are released when the Job and Price Lists are closed however sometimes the locks may remain if Cubit Estimating was not properly shutdown. In such cases, Cubit Estimating Management Console is used to Unlock Job and Price List.

When on a network version there is usually a desktop shortcut to access Cubit Estimating Management console.

The shortcut can also be accessed from C:\Program Files\Buildsoft\Cubit folder (Right Click on Cubit Estimating Icon and Open File Location).

Unlock Jobs

1. Open Cubit Estimating Management Console.

2. Click the Unlock button on the toolbar and then select Jobs.

3. From the list, tick the boxes to select the Job/s to be unlocked.

4. Click the Unlock button to unlock the selected Job/s.

5. Press F5 to refresh the Cubit Estimating Job Manager window and access the Job/s. 

Unlock Price lists

1. Open Cubit Estimating Management Console.

2. Click the Unlock button on the toolbar and select Price List.

3. From the list, tick the boxes to select the Price List/s to be unlocked.

4. Click the Unlock button to unlock the selected Price List/s.

5. Press F5 to refresh the Cubit Estimating Job Manager window and access the Price List/s.
