A stand alone install is where both the Global\Offsider Estimating software, and its data are installed on the local desktop\laptop PC.

Network Install Guide:

A network install is where Global\Offsider Estimating is installed on the local desktop\laptop PC, but the data is stored on a central server so that multiple users can connect to the same set of data.

The network installation also gives the option of installing on a terminal server.
This is where both the Global\Offsider Estimating software, and the date is installed on the same system similar to a stand alone installation, but rather than being installed on a users local system, the software is installed on a terminal server.
